🐺 Young Mushers Camp – A Life-Size Adventure
Service Description
For 5 days and 4 nights, teenagers immerse themselves in the daily life of our dog team and discover what it truly means to live and work with sled dogs. Led by Violaine, three-time World Mushing Champion (2024, 2025, and 2026), they will learn the different facets of the profession: training, driving a dog team, selecting and preparing the dogs, care, equipment, and kennel life. This is a deliberately more technical, athletic, and independent training program for young people who want to delve deeper into the world of mushing. 🛷 On the agenda 🐾 Introduction to or advanced training in dog scootering and dog karting 🐺 Choosing dogs and assembling a team 🛷 Preparing the kart, lines, and equipment 🏃 Sporty dog hikes in the mountains ❤️ Dog care, feeding, recovery, and well-being 🐕 Behavioral analysis and building a relationship with the dog 🎯 Sporting challenges, technical workshops, and team missions 🏕️ Camp life, shared meals, campfires, and nights in tents 🌲 Tree climbing, via ferrata, and trout fishing 🪂 Paragliding (optional) Activities with the dogs are organized during the coolest hours, depending on the temperature and always with the dogs' well-being in mind. 💪 More than just a mushing camp Young people actively participate in camp life: caring for the dogs, organizing equipment, preparing meals, and completing daily tasks. An experience that fosters independence, responsibility, teamwork, and self-confidence. 🏆 The Great Young Mushers Challenge At the end of the week, participants will put their learning into practice: preparing equipment, choosing their dogs, assembling their teams, assigning roles, and completing a final team challenge. Cancellation Policy
1. Responsabilité Les activités se déroulent en pleine nature avec des animaux. Chaque participant reconnaît participer sous sa propre responsabilité. Alpes’Huskies décline toute responsabilité en cas d’accident, sauf faute grave ou intentionnelle. 2. Météo & adaptation des activités Les conditions de montagne (froid, neige, vent, etc.) font partie de l’expérience et ne donnent droit à aucun remboursement. En cas de manque de neige, les activités hivernales sont remplacées par des activités adaptées aux conditions. Le musher peut modifier ou interrompre une activité pour des raisons de météo, sécurité ou bien-être des chiens, sans indemnité. 3. Règles sur site Prévoir des vêtements chauds en hiver. Les animaux personnels sont interdits. Les consignes du musher doivent être respectées en tout temps. 4. Réservation, annulation & retard Toute réservation est confirmée par e-mail. En cas d’annulation, modification ou absence, la prestation reste due. Exceptionnellement, une modification peut être acceptée avec des frais de CHF 45.–. Tout retard réduit la durée de l’activité sans remboursement. 5. Option Flexi Annulation Option facultative, pour certaines prestations, permettant de modifier ou annuler jusqu’à 3 jours avant l’activité sans frais. Passé ce délai ou en cas d’absence, aucun remboursement ni modification ne sera possible. L’option n’est pas remboursable. 6. Informations attelage (traîneau/kart) -Femmes enceintes : participation sous responsabilité personnelle ou avec accord médical. -Enfants de moins de 2 ans non admis. -Poids conseillé : env. 90 kg max par adulte (prendre l'option suppl. biplace si dépassement). -En été, privilégier les réservations tôt le matin.
