Privacy Policy

Alpes'Huskies attaches great importance to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we process, why, for how long, who we share it with and what your rights are. It applies to the website www.alpes-huskies.ch, to our bookings, to our telephone service and to our on-site activities.

We process your data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data collected

Data you provide to us:

• Identity and contact details: surname, first name, email address, phone number, postal address.

• Booking data: chosen activity, date, number and age of participants, options, gift vouchers, any comments you add.

• Online shop order data: items, delivery and billing address.

• Payment data: amount, date and payment method. Your card details are processed directly by the payment provider; we do not have access to them.

• Messages you send us by form, email or phone.

• Newsletter subscription: email address and preferences.

Data relating to phone calls

Our telephone service is handled by an automated voice assistant. Calls are recorded and transcribed in order to deal with your request and improve the quality of the answers. You are informed of this at the start of the call.

Data relating to camps for children and teenagers

When a child is registered for a camp, we collect from the parents or legal guardians the information needed for the child's safety: identity, age, emergency contacts and, where relevant, health information (allergies, food intolerances, current treatment). This health information is sensitive data: it is collected with the parents' express consent, accessible only to the supervising team, and destroyed at the end of the camp.

IP address, type of device and browser, pages viewed, length of visit and where you came from. See section 7 on cookies.

Photos and videos

We take photos and videos of our activities for our website and social media. We only publish images in which you can be identified with your consent. For minors, parental consent is required. You can ask for an image to be removed at any time.

Job applications

If you send us a job application, we process the data it contains solely to review it.

3. Why we use your data and on what basis

• Managing your activity and accommodation bookings, your orders and your gift vouchers: performance of the contract

• Sending you confirmations and reminders about your booking: performance of the contract

• Replying to your enquiries by form, email or phone: pre-contractual measures, legitimate interest

• Ensuring the safety of participants, in particular children at camps: performance of the contract, express consent for health data

• Keeping our accounts and meeting our legal obligations, including for accommodation (tourist tax): legal obligation

• Sending you our newsletter and offers: consent, which you can withdraw at any time

• Measuring and improving website traffic: consent (statistics cookies)

• Recording and transcribing calls to deal with enquiries and improve the service: legitimate interest

• Publishing photos and videos in which you can be identified: consent

• Reviewing job applications: pre-contractual measures

We neither sell nor rent your data. We do not make any decisions with legal effects based solely on automated processing.

4. Recipients of your data

Your data is accessible to the members of the Alpes'Huskies team who need it, and to the following service providers acting on our behalf:

• Wix.com Ltd.: website hosting, bookings, shop, forms, messaging, newsletter, reminders, visitor statistics. Countries: Israel, European Union, United States.

• Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC: audience measurement (Google Analytics 4), Search Console. Countries: Ireland, United States.

• Vapi Inc. and its technical subcontractors (telephony, transcription, language model, speech synthesis): voice assistant (call recording and transcription). Country: United States.

• Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.: online payment processing. Countries: Ireland, United States.

Accommodation bookings made via Région Dents du Midi, Booking.com or Airbnb are subject to the privacy policies of those platforms, which pass on to us the data needed for your stay.

We may also disclose data to the authorities where required by law.

5. Transfers abroad

Some of our service providers process data outside Switzerland and the European Union, in particular in the United States. These transfers are covered by one of the following safeguards: an adequacy decision (Israel, European Union), the provider's certification under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner and the European Commission. You can ask us for more details about these safeguards.

6. Retention periods

• Bookings, orders, invoices and accounting records: 10 years (legal retention obligation)

• Contact requests without a booking: 3 years after the last exchange

• Customer account and history: 3 years after the last booking or order

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe

• Call recordings and transcripts: 14 days

• Camp registration forms containing health data: destroyed at the end of the camp

• Audience measurement data: 14 months maximum

• Unsuccessful job applications: 6 months after our reply

• Published photos and videos: until you withdraw your consent

After these periods, the data is deleted or anonymised.

7. Cookies

A cookie is a small file saved on your device when you visit a website. The website www.alpes-huskies.ch uses the following categories:

• Essential cookies (“Essential”): needed for the website, booking and payment to work. They are always active and do not require your consent.

• Functional cookies (“Functional”): they remember certain settings, for example the language. They are only set with your consent.

• Statistics cookies (“Analytical”): Wix Analytics and Google Analytics 4 allow us to measure website traffic. They are only set with your consent.

Alpes'Huskies does not show advertising and does not use advertising cookies, even though the standard banner text mentions this possibility.

Your choice. On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen. It is provided in English by our service provider, Usercentrics:

• “Accept All”: you accept all categories;

• “Deny”: you refuse everything except essential cookies;

• “Save Settings”: you save the choices made category by category.

Refusing has no effect on your access to the website or on your bookings.

Changing your choice. You can change your mind at any time by clicking the round icon at the bottom left of the screen, which reopens the settings. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access limited to those who need it, protected passwords, reputable service providers. In the event of a data security breach posing a high risk to you, we will inform you and the competent authority.

9. Your rights

You can at any time:

​

• access your data and receive a copy of it;

• have inaccurate data corrected;

• ask for your data to be deleted, within the limits of our legal retention obligations;

• ask for processing to be restricted, or object to it;

• receive your data in a commonly used format (portability);

• withdraw any consent given, without affecting past processing.

To exercise your rights, write to violaine@alpes-huskies.ch or to our postal address. We will reply within 30 days. Proof of identity may be requested if there is any doubt.

10. Complaints

If you believe that your data is not being processed in accordance with the law, you can contact:

11. Minors

Online bookings are restricted to adults. Data about children is only collected from their parents or legal guardians.

12. Changes and reference version

We may update this policy to reflect legal or technical developments. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date of update. In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the French version prevails.
