Ah, the return that comes with the sad return to reality... the most difficult part of the journey. As with the outward journey, it's about swallowing the kilometers without dragging, but it's also not forbidden to make a stopover on the way... or to have one or two problems...
Route : 806 km and 9 hours of driving to reach Morgins from Caen. To be done over two days if possible.
CAEN
Getting off the ferry around 10 p.m., we didn't really want to drive. We spent the night at the Caen motorhome area, leaving in the morning. The area is 3 minutes from the ferry exit, which is very convenient. It is equipped with all the amenities. The place is calm, except when a boat leaves. The price is 13.50 euros for 24 hours.
PARIS
For the return, we chose to go through Paris, in terms of schedules, that worked out. This was without taking into account a temporary closure of the A13... We found ourselves in the heart of Paris, a few meters from the Arc-de-Triomphe. We also passed close to the Eiffel Tower, in the heart of La Défense... and the traffic, and finally got out safely. It was a little stressful, but it will stay with us forever!
For today's stage, we stopped halfway in Gurgy, at the start of Burgundy, France. The village offers a magnificent campervan area, facing the Yonne river. The place is very quiet, frequented by fishermen and a few walkers. It is equipped with all amenities. From there, it remains 430 km and around 5 hours by road to reach Switzerland via Dijon.
